1. How to Transfer Using Public Transportation in Korea
The transfer method is super simple! You just need to tap your card on the machine when boarding and when exiting. If no transfer is needed, you don’t need to tap the card when getting off. This applies to both bus ⇔ subway transfers as well, so it’s definitely a system you should take advantage of (˘︶˘). However, cash payments are not eligible for discounts, so please be aware! Now, let me show you a picture of the time I transferred from one bus to another. This time, I transferred from a standard bus (blue) to an express bus (orange). As shown in the picture, you can check how much was charged, so it might be a good idea to verify it yourself!
Normally, the fare for an express bus is 2,100 KRW, but since I transferred from a standard bus (1,550 KRW), only the difference of 550 KRW was charged🎀.
